Lentil dhal

Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 cup orange lentils, rinsed
- 1 cup brown/green lentils, rinsed
- 2 cups water
- 1 tin tomatoes
- 1 t coriander powder
- 1 T cumin
- 1 T turmeric
- 1 T garam masla
- 1 T curry powder
- S&P
Method
- Fry onion and garlic until soft.
- Add all spices and fry for 1 minute, add lentils and fry to coat in spice.
- Add lentils and water and cook until lentils are cooked.
- Add 1 tin tomatoes.
- Serve on basmati rice or with naan bread and fresh coriander.
